General T&C and Privacy Policy for ExpatMeet Events (Jan 2025)

Terms and Conditions

General

1) By booking an event, you agree to the following terms and conditions and our privacy policy.

2) By booking an event, you acknowledge that neither ExpatMeet (hereafter referred to as the "Company") nor any of its associates are liable for any losses, direct or indirect, that may arise from participating in our events. This includes, without limitation, emotional distress, physical injury, or property damage.

3)Events are held at locations/venues which the Company does not own and does not control. Therefore, if you suffer any loss or damage at an event, you agree to release the Company and its associates from any liability.

4)The Company reserves the right to change the venue and timings of events. You will be informed of these changes before the start of the event, either via email or on our social media platforms.

5)The Company is not liable for loss of or damage to personal belongings left at our events. All personal belongings are left at your own risk.

6)To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, we may invite media to attend events. By participating, you consent to be photographed or video recorded, and these images may be used for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be included, please inform us via email at expatmeet@gmail.com.

7)If you wish to make a complaint regarding the services provided by the Company, please email expatmeet@gmail.com.

Registration

1)To participate in our events, you must register online and make the payment at the time of registration. Your registration is final upon receipt of payment. You can expect a confirmation email within 7 days of the event.

Participants

1)To ensure the best possible experience for all participants, we require a minimum number of attendees for each event. If this number isn't reached, we'll unfortunately have to cancel the event. You'll receive a full refund within 7 business days.

2)Please treat all participants with respect and courtesy.

3)By booking an event, you agree that you are within the stated age range for the event. If you are found to be ineligible, the Company reserves the right to cancel your booking or refuse entry.

4)If you are unable to attend, please inform the host as soon as possible. There is no refund for missed portions of the event.

Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. If you witness or experience any such behavior, please report it immediately to the host or a designated event organizer.

5)Each participant is responsible for sharing their contact information with other attendees. The Company will not share personal information with third parties without explicit consent.

6)The Company reserves the right to deny anyone access to any event without explanation.

Cancellation Policy

1)To cancel your registration, please notify the organizer via email at least 7 days prior to the event start date. Refunds may be subject to processing fees.

2)If we cancel an event, you may choose to re-enroll in another event or receive a full refund. You will be notified via email.

Website

The Company makes every effort to ensure the security of our website, but we cannot guarantee complete protection against cyber threats. If you encounter any technical difficulties, please contact us.

Price of Events

1)The Company reserves the right to change event prices. Any price changes will be communicated to registered participants.

The Company respects your privacy and will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent. Your information will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Disclaimer

1)We organize events to provide opportunities for social interaction. We cannot guarantee the compatibility or intentions of other participants.

2)It is your responsibility to exercise caution and good judgment when interacting with others. The Company is not liable for any negative experiences or consequences arising from interactions with other participants. While we strive to make every event enjoyable, we cannot guarantee that each participant's expectations will be fully met.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Belgium or where the event is held if it is not in Belgium.
